Slow times can be a good thing. It’s that time of year when everything dies down on Key West. Many businesses and local workers are left struggling to get by, a few businesses flourish despite the down time and some just close up and take vacation. Me? What am I doing you ask, well I am steadily reaching for my goals. I am using the time to learn more and research local bar business opportunities. The slow times can be a refreshing time to relax and do some of the things we locals can’t do when we are busy working in season. Sometimes it is good to slow down relax a bit and remember why we live here.
Tourists, this is a great time for you. Room rates should be lower, there are food and drink specials around town. No big crowds or lines and you too can enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Just remember this is a time when local workers and businesses could really use your business. Please remember it is not cheap to live in paradise and tip your bartender or server well.
I am working on my goals, nothing new to tell you right now. I have some things brewing, will post more when I see what comes of it.
Be reckless and take chances,
